The TRED GT Kinetic Recovery Ropes are designed to deliver controlled, effective vehicle recoveries when traction is lost. Available in 8,200kg and 12,500kg minimum breaking strengths, these ropes give you the flexibility to choose the right option for your vehicle and recovery setup.
Constructed from high-quality Nylon 66, each rope offers up to 30% elongation, allowing stored kinetic energy to assist in pulling a stuck vehicle free. This controlled stretch helps reduce shock loads on vehicles and recovery points when used correctly.
Each rope is UV-treated after assembly for long-term durability and features vinyl polymer–coated eyelets to protect critical wear points during recovery. Independently NATA laboratory tested, TRED GT Kinetic Ropes are built to meet and exceed strict quality standards.
How It Works
During recovery, the movement of the recovery vehicle combined with the rope’s stretch creates a controlled “snatch” effect. This kinetic energy helps free a stranded vehicle from sand, mud, or uneven terrain while minimising stress on equipment when used in accordance with recovery guidelines.
Choosing the correct rope strength is essential. The recommended minimum breaking strength should be two to three times the GVM of the lighter vehicle involved in the recovery. Heavily loaded vehicles or deep bog situations can significantly increase recovery loads.
