Venture Canopy Load Rating Upgraded

When we launched the Venture Canopy in Australia in 2022, we set out to challenge the status quo in the ute canopy market. Four years on, that commitment continues -  we've increased the Venture Canopy's load ratings to 350kg static and 150kg dynamic across the full range.
 
That means every vehicle we build for BYD Shark, Ford Ranger, Ford SuperDuty, Isuzu D-MAX, Mazda BT-50, Mitsubishi Triton, Nissan Navara, Toyota Hilux and Volkswagen Amarok.
 

What's changed  and what hasn't

The increased ratings aren't the result of a redesign. Every Venture Canopy has included an internal steel frame from day one, at no additional cost, engineered to deliver proven load-carrying capability. The upgrade reflects an ongoing development and validation process that confirmed the structure was already capable of more.
 
In short, the engineering was always there. The numbers have now caught up with it.

What it means if you already own a Venture Canopy

The upgraded load ratings apply across all Venture Canopies, including those already in the field. If you bought a Venture Canopy before the upgrade, your canopy benefits from the same increased ratings. There's nothing to retrofit or upgrade - it's the same steel frame that's always been there.

More than load ratings

The load rating upgrade is part of a bigger story. Over the past four years we've continued to invest in the Venture platform - adding practical features like dual-side push-button access and a hard-wired interior light to our current production models, alongside an expanding range of  Venture accessories.
 
The result is a canopy that not only carries more, but gives owners more ways to configure their vehicle for work, play and everything in between.

The Venture Canopy is available across all nine vehicle models through more than 120 authorised Maxliner dealers and fitment centres nationwide.
